I along with 9 others are lucky enough to been raised in a friendship framework which was started by our mothers who met way back in high school. Two generations on and we are going strong. Generally we catch up formally at least twice a year (around mid year and Christmas). It's a friendship I cherish, and I am glad my daughters are now involved.
A few months ago I was asked to be on the birthday committee of our champion Debra (Deb). Deb was having a birthday thrown for her by her cousins in Milton (Southern NSW). My role was only small (helping with the decorations) but I thought I would share some of the amazing detail that went into the day. It is a testament to the wonderful person Deb is that nearly 200 people travelled from near and far to celebrate!
The theme we started with was 'farm chic' and not 'wedding-y'. So we started with beautiful navy floral invitations from Piccolo Studio, and then picked an array of colourful decorations centred around teal, dark blue and navy with pops of colour.
The party was held in a marquee at the gorgeous Claydon Park at Milton (which is also a beautiful wedding venue - see The Old Church Milton). The sun was shining, there were lots of animals and the kids could run amok. We all enjoyed a bountiful buffet lunch and stayed until dark with bonfires burning around.
(Apologies for the skewed shot - we had a photographer who didn't have his glasses on - or had too many glasses! ha!)
Being so far away we chose to stay and make a weekend of it. We chose Bannisters Pavillion which was stunning. I shared some pics of it on social media and many of you all shared the heart eyes that I did. I've popped some extra pics down below for those who are interested.
